Environment America is a national network of 30 state environmental groups. Their organization believes in working together for clean air, clean water, clean energy, wildlife and open spaces, and a livable climate.
During my time with Environment America, I was given the opportunity to create and present a social media strategy for their latest campaign: “Don’t Flush the Forest,” an initiative dedicated to stopping deforestation in Canada’s Boreal Forest.
At the time of this campaign’s creation, TikTok was rapidly gaining popularity. My pitch was rooted in capitalizing on the new platform’s popularity and working with sustainability influencers, appealing to a young audience who was hungry for change.
